Welcome to Veterinary Dental Services

Boxborough location

... the ONLY facility in New England with Board Certified Veterinary Dentists

Exciting things are happening at Veterinary Dental Services. This October we will be moving to a new facility in Boxborough, just six miles from our current location. We will continue to offer the same high quality dentistry and oral surgery, and friendly service. Our expanded space will enable us to meet the needs of our clients and patients from around New England. We will have additional exam room space, surgical space, a larger reception area and a client lounge. Please follow us on Facebook for continued updates.

Kerri

Since 1999 we have provided state-of-the-art dentistry and oral surgery for pets in New England. Our veterinary dentists are board certified in veterinary dentistry by the American Veterinary Dental College. Our technicians are certified by the American Society of Veterinary Dental Technicians. We pride ourselves on educating pet owners about dental care and disease prevention, and work closely with you, your pet, and your primary care veterinarian for the best outcome.

Our dental operatory is equipped similarly to a human dental office. We have digital dental radiography and computerized dental charting software for dogs and cats. Since most animal dental patients are treated under general anesthesia, we pay special attention to our anesthetic protocol, and customize anesthesia to the needs of your pet. Our veterinary dentists are capable general practitioners who have chosen to specialize in dentistry and oral surgery.

Whether you are a pet owner or a veterinarian, our Web site has information to educate you on the importance of veterinary dentistry.

Product of the Month

Tartar Shield Rawhides

"Tartar Shield Soft Rawhide Chews contain a patented formula clinically proven to clean teeth, reduce bacteria, freshen breath, and prevent plaque and tartar build-up by more than 50%. The soft rawhide surface is easy to chew and gentle on your dog's teeth and gums. The savory bacon flavor is a delicious taste your dog is sure to love! Tartar Shield Soft Rawhide Chews were awarded the coveted Veterinary Oral Health Council's (VOHC) Seal of Acceptance for Tartar Control."-Tartar Shield

They work through a chewing-like action in order to remove the plaque and calculus. Veterinary Oral Health Council or VOHC did a clinical study to see if these chews really do help reduce plaque and calculus. The study showed significant plaque and tartar control when dogs were given one per day.
