Client Care Specialists
Emily joined our team in 2018 after years of customer service in another office. While she enjoys customer service, it has always been her dream to work with animals. When a position at VDS became available, she knew it was the right fit and the best of both worlds. She graduated from Bay State College in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in business with a focus on fashion merchandising. She resides in Groton and enjoys spending her free time with her boyfriend Nick, her two cats, Waffles and Sabrina and her black lab, Hendrix.
Jaqueen joined our team in the Fall of 2019. She previously worked for two years as a Client Care Specialist at another veterinary clinic. Jaqueen has always loved animals since she could remember and has always wanted to work in the veterinary field. She grew up in Lowell but now lives in Pepperell. She shares her home with a 5 year old american bully/pit mix, named Rebel. During her free time she enjoy going to the gym, working out, cooking, and cuddling with Rebel while watching movies or binge watching her favorite shows.
Brianna has worked in customer service for almost 9 years and 5 of those years as a veterinary receptionist. She also has been trained as a veterinary assistant. Brianna has a degree in graphic design, which is her other passion, but working with animals has been a dream of hers since she was a child. She grew up with ferrets, cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens, chameleons and the like. Currently, she shares her house with a 140lb King Shepherd named Titan, along with her three cats, Rigby, a Persian, and two Ragdoll siblings, Bailey and Dylan. Brianna enjoys traveling, camping, reading, and thinking about which colors to dye her hair next.
Certified Veterinary Technicians
Kerri is our Head Technician and has been with us for over 10 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science in wildlife management with a minor in marine biology from the University of New Hampshire in 1997. Three years later, she achieved certification as a veterinary technician while working at the Animal Rescue League of Boston. It was during these years that Kerri developed a strong interest in veterinary dentistry. We were elated to have Kerri join our team in 2007. Kerri does not currently have pets of her own but she enjoys spending time with her canine and feline “nieces” and “nephews”: Rudy, Penelope, Jax, Melaza and the newest family addition, Ziggy. We know it is only a matter of time before another four-legged creature steals her heart. Kerri is a lifelong resident of the North Shore and enjoys traveling, photography, kayaking, and art.
Michelle first came to VDS in 2015 as an intern from Mount Ida College’s veterinary technology program. She enjoyed her first rotation with us so much that she stayed for a second rotation. She then became a part of our family. Michelle earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and a minor in English from Assumption College in 2007. After graduation, she worked as a senior support advisor for healthcare information systems. While working in the human healthcare industry, Michelle volunteered her spare time at the Shalit-Glazer Clinic MSPCA in Boston. She knew her future was with animals and thus returned to school at Mount Ida College. While studying Animal Science at Mount Ida, she participated in the Study Abroad program where she volunteered at spay and neuter clinics and provided medical treatment in Belize. Michelle lives in Bolton with her orange tabby, Fenway. In her spare time, she enjoys family game night, camping, kayaking, and hiking in the mountains.

When an opening at VDS became available she couldn’t pass it up. She graduated from Penn Foster College in 2019 with an Associate’s degree in the Veterinary Technology Program. She loved Penn Foster’s program so much that when she heard they were creating a Bachelor’s Degree program in Veterinary Technology, she couldn’t wait to sign up. Marykate currently lives in a small town north of Boston with her husband Dave and their 3 cats, Quagmire, Rufus and Marley. In her free time she enjoys reading, writing, listening to music and practicing yoga.
