Molly’s Million-Dollar Smile

Hi again! Sunny here, still floating in my favorite coral corner of the tank and keeping tabs on the comings and goings of our furry guests.

This week, I’m excited to tell you about Molly. She’s a 7-year-old boxer with the kind of personality that lights up the whole room. Molly has a condition called gingival hyperplasia, which causes her gum tissue to grow more than it should. While it might sound harmless, overgrown gums can cover the teeth, trap bacteria, and make it uncomfortable to eat, chew, or even smile.

I first met Molly back in 2022 when she came in for a procedure to trim back that extra gum tissue. The transformation after her visit was incredible. She left with a cleaner, healthier smile and seemed to strut just a little taller on her way out.

She came back this year for a second round. Gingival hyperplasia can return over time, and Molly’s team has been keeping a close eye on her. With another expert procedure, her mouth is once again feeling fresh and healthy.

From my cozy view, I can always tell when pets are feeling better. Molly came in looking a bit uneasy but walked out with her signature boxer bounce fully restored. Her before and after photos say it all, but the sparkle in her eyes was the real showstopper.

If your pet’s gums seem a little puffy or their smile doesn’t look quite right, it might be time for a dental visit. The team here at Veterinary Dental Services, LLC knows how to make those smiles shine again. And if you stop by, be sure to say hello! I’ll be the bright yellow blur in the tank, cheering from the sidelines.

P.S. Curious to see Molly’s glow-up for yourself? Her smile really stole the spotlight! Swim over to our Instagram and Facebook pages to catch her before-and-after moments. Trust me, it’s a transformation worth seeing!
