Genel

Genel joined the VDS team in 2006. She has fulfilled many roles at the practice, such as Client Care Specialist and Veterinary Assistant, but now her focus is on management. She started working in the veterinary field in 1998 while obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Worcester State University. Upon graduation, she quickly realized her passion was with animals and their owners, and she decided to stay in the field. She earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Fitchburg State University in 2017 and is now a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager. She is an active member of the Veterinary Hospital Manager’s Association, Veterinary Management Group, and the American Animal Hospital Association, and has previously lectured at the Veterinary Dental Forum. Genel shares her home with Ravioli, a rambunctious orange kitty. When she is not at work, she enjoys attending comedy shows, concerts, traveling, and kayaking.
